is a handwriting consultant specialising in both
the educational and medical aspects. Her background
was in lettering and design but it is her fieldwork
and research into adult problems that form the basis
for this book.
Gunnlaugur SE Briem, co-author,
is a designer, has a PhD from the Royal College of Art
in London and is on the advisory board of Visible Language.
He has designed several typefaces, including a new family
for The Times newspaper.
