The
exercises here, arranged by groups of units in Teach Yourself
Catalan, are devised to focus on the key linguistic features
that are integrated in the progression of the whole course.
Solutions are provided for self-assessment and self-correction.
You can use these materials in four separate stages, for
revision and reinforcement of the contents of successsive
blocks of units, before you pass on to the next stage.
Or you may prefer to keep these exercises in reserve until
you have worked through the whole course, using them as
a final test of the level of linguistic competence you
have achieved overall. Either way, this self-testing and
self-correction process will consolidate your work on
the course. It should help you to identify those areas
in which more study and revision may be needed, pointing
you to the parts of the course where the appropriate coverage
(vocabulary, idiom, grammatical structures) is to be found.
